You’re invited to attend the First Pitch Banquet hosted by the NC State Baseball Rally Club.  The banquet will be held at the Marriott Raleigh Crabtree Valley, 4500 Marriott Drive, Raleigh, NC 27612.  Our key speaker for the evening will be Matt Holliday of the 2007 National League Champion Colorado Rockies.  Matt led the National League in batting, hits, doubles, extra base hits, total bases, and RBIs in 2007.He was voted the MVP of the National League Championship series and finished second in the 2007 National League Most Valuable Player voting. Matt was named to the 2006 and 2007 National League All-Star teams. Matt is the son of NC State Associate Head Coach Tom Holliday. Additionally, we will have NC State Baseball 2008 player, coaches and staff introductions as well as other eventful and insightful presentations.  This is a fund raiser, so of course we will have a silent auction consisting of donated baseball memorabilia including NC State items as well as others.  In addition there will be other NC State related items plus some non NC State related items.  So please come prepared to give generously by participating in the auction or making a donation.  Mark Thomas will serve as our Master of Ceremonies for the evening.  Mark is a former NC State football player and radio personality on the new 99.9FM “The Fan”.

The cost is $60 per person if your registration is received by January 15^th; otherwise it is $75 per person until final registration ends on January 30^th.  There will be no registration at the door.  All tickets will be sold in advance on a first come, first serve basis.

The Marriott is offering a special NCSU Rally Club rate of $94 per night plus applicable state and local taxes.  The cut-off for this rate is January 18, 2008.  You may make your individual reservations by calling Marriott @ (800) 228-9290.

We will have Sponsor Tables available for $1,000 per table.  This includes 8-dinner tickets, plus 2-sponor pre-event reception tickets with Matt Holliday.  The pre-event reception will be prior to the dinner from 6pm-7pm.  For more information about being a table sponsor, please contact Ken Updegrave @ info@rallyclub.org or (919) 412-8389.

To register for this event, please fill out the attached individual registration form and mail the form with check or credit card information, to Rally Club c/o NC State Baseball Office, Campus Box 8505, NC State, Raleigh, NC 27695-8505.  As an alternative you may use a credit card and fax your completed registration to (866) 437-2610.  Remember all Early Bird Registrations Received by January 15^th will be the $60 per person rate.  If not received either by mail or fax by Jan 15^th, the rate will be $75 per person.
